
Pianist Simon Callaghan presents his work on under-explored composers and offers insights into how to approach this area of the repertoire. Illustrating the positive impact of this activity on his career, Callaghan will discuss how these valuable endeavours can feed back into a rewarding performance schedule.
Musicologist and author Susan Youens will give a talk on ‘The Wanderer and the Romantic Imagination’, following which Edward Jowle and Roger Vignoles will perform a selection of Schubert Songs, before Simon Callaghan’s performance of the ‘Wanderer’ Fantasy.
