Beau soir, L 84 (arr. Heifetz)

With Coco Tomita (violin)
Coco Tomita chose every work on her début album herself, in the year after winning the strings final of BBC Young Musician 2020. The Poulenc and Ravel sonatas are its centre of gravity, with Enescu's Impressions d'enfance, Lili Boulanger's Nocturne, Hubay's Carmen Fantasy and Debussy's Beau soir around them — a programme that keeps circling back to the great women violinists of the early twentieth century, Ginette Neveu and Jelly d'Arányi among them. Simon Callaghan partners her throughout.
"It was an utter delight to collaborate with violinist Coco Tomita on her début album!" — Simon Callaghan
