The second volume goes further into Delius's orchestral output and further into the circle around him: Julius Buths's arrangement of Paris, Benjamin Dale's Eventyr, Percy Grainger's The Song of the High Hills — nearly half an hour of it — and Peter Warlock's Summer Night on the River. Grainger's transcription in particular treats two pianos as an orchestra in their own right rather than a reduction of one. It completes what Volume I began.
