Last night I played a sold-out recital at the Musashino Civic Cultural Centre in Tokyo: Chopin's Fantasy, Schumann's Kinderszenen, and two works by Jean-Louis Nicodé, the 6 Phantasiestücke and Ein Liebesleben, which may well have been their Japanese premiere.

The audience really seemed to enjoy Nicodé's beautiful music, and the CDs sold out after the concert! Thank you so much to Hyperion, who made my world premiere recording of Nicodé's music possible. Without that disc, I doubt this music would have found its way to Japan.

And thank you to the organisers at the Musashino Civic Cultural Centre for inviting me and looking after me so well. I very much hope to be back soon!
